Less than five percent turn out for municipal election
According to the reports from different sources, the vast majority of people in Tehran and other cities in Iran boycotted the municipal election on February 28. Iranian regime’s official news agency, Irna, reports that in Tehran only 590000 out of 5 millions eligible voters have turned out to vote for their candidates which is far from real case. In other cities, the turn out was even much lower than in the capital. The regime’s different factions have already confessed to their obvious defeat in the election. The result of yesterday’s election proves one more time that Iranian people want the removal of the present regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran with all its factions.
