Urgent Appeal: Nobel Peace Laureate Narges Mohammadi Abducted After Violent Assault in Iran
December 15, 2025
On December 12, 2025, the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) along with plainclothes thugs, severely beat Ms. Narges Mohammadi, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and transferred her to an unknown location.
Ms. Mohammadi was attacked by the Iranian regime’s security forces after delivering a speech at the memorial ceremony for the late Khosrow Alikordi in the city of Sabzevar, and was abducted after being brutally struck on the head and neck with batons and dragged along the ground by Khamenei’s thugs.
Two days after her arrest, there is still no information about Ms. Mohammadi’s fate. Officials of the Iranian government, including Ali Khamenei and Masoud Pezeshkian, are responsible for the life and safety of Ms. Narges Mohammadi.
We call on all Green parties around the world and all human rights organizations to put pressure on the Iranian regime for the immediate release of Ms. Mohammadi.
