Iran Has No More Moghan deer
TEHRAN, Iran, June 12, 2000 (Tehran Times) Generation of Moghan deer has become fully extinct in Ardebil Province, Iraj Farshad, the director general of the provincial Department of the Environment said yesterday. They have recently announced the certain extinction of this animal's generation in the province.
Along with the deergeneration, several habitats of the animal have been destroyed, he concluded. According to available research, such kind of deer is found in Azerbaijan which will be transferred to Dasht-e Moghan (Moghan Desert) in Iran in case of securing the required expenditure and the cooperation of Azeri officials.
